Florida business succession
Protect Your Business.
Preserve Its Value.
A transition plan for the company you built.
Business succession is about more than what happens after death. It is also about decision-making authority, ongoing operations, and how ownership transitions when circumstances change.
Where planning makes a difference

A thoughtful business succession strategy addresses the questions your team and family may otherwise face unexpectedly.
Leadership & Decision Authority
Identify who can act if the current owner becomes unable to lead.
Ownership & Transfer Planning
Review transfers, restrictions, and coordination with trusts or wills.
Buy-Sell & Partner Agreements
Evaluate whether business agreements clearly explain how ownership changes.
Family Wealth & Business Value
Consider how business value will reach the people and purposes you intended.

Personalized planning
If you stepped away tomorrow, what would break first?
Operations, agreements, banking authority, and succession choices often need to be coordinated instead of handled independently.

- Review operating agreements and ownership transfer provisions
- Connect personal planning with practical business operations

Questions & answers
Frequently asked questions
Is succession planning only for companies with multiple owners?
No. Single-owner businesses also need to consider authority, operations, ownership transfer, and how family members receive value.
Is an LLC the same as a succession plan?
No. Forming an entity does not, by itself, answer who has authority or what happens to ownership upon incapacity, retirement, or death.
Can I coordinate my business with my estate plan?
Yes. Estate and company documents can be reviewed together to identify inconsistencies and plan for ownership and decision-making.
What if I already have an operating agreement?
It may still be worth reviewing provisions involving management succession, transfers, disability, death, and buyouts.
